| PreLicensing Providers / Course Listing |
New York State Insurance Law, Sections 2103, 2104 and 2108, requires an individual seeking an insurance license to complete a prelicensing course approved by the Superintendent of Insurance. Prelicensing providers are approved by the Department of Financial Services to teach the approved courses. Select the course type from the drop-down list below for a list of providers approved to offer the course corresponding to the license you are seeking. Distance learning options are now available for both the life, accident and health courses as well as the property and casualty courses. To determine if a provider offers distance learning courses look for an (I) or a (W) after the provider name. (I )indicates the provider offers online courses and (W) indicates webinar courses. Address and telephone information is provided for the primary contact person, who may or may not be located in New York. The location of the contact person is not always an indication of where the course will be offered. Please contact the provider directly for course details and availability. |
